Connect ChatGPT or Codex to LIIVO, step by step
To build with LIIVO you connect your AI to LIIVO once. After that, you just build, and your apps go live on the web.
Published 2 July 2026
There are two ways to do it. The quick way is one prompt and two clicks. The manual way takes a minute more but is the reliable fallback if the quick way does not fill things in for you. Start with the quick way.
Before you start
Install your AI if you have not already. You can find Codex on the Microsoft Store if you are on a PC. On a Mac you can get it from the Codex website. Claude works too.
The quick way (one prompt, two clicks)
On liivo.ai, open Connect Your AI and pick your assistant (Claude, or ChatGPT Codex). The page walks you through it in under a minute and gives you a starter prompt to copy.
- Open the Connect Your AI page and copy the starter prompt shown there. It looks like this:Use setup-project for [your app idea] and start building.
- Paste it into your AI and send it. A pop-up will appear. When the pop-up comes up, confirm both.
- After that, open a new chat.
That is it. Your LIIVO account is created automatically when you connect, so there is nothing else to install. If the pop-ups do not appear or the connection does not seem to work, use the manual way below.
The manual way (the reliable fallback)
It takes a minute but always works.
- Open the settings. Go to settings in your AI and open the settings panel.
- Find the server list. Look for MCP servers, the way LIIVO communicates with your AI. Choose to add a server.
- Choose the right connection type. This step matters: pick streamable HTTP, not the other options.
- Name it. Give it a name. Call it LIIVO.
- Add the address. You add a URL, and you find it on the LIIVO homepage. On liivo.ai, open Connect Your AI, go to the instructions, and copy the address shown there. Paste it in.
- Save it.
- Sign in. One more step: authenticate. When you choose Authenticate, it takes you to the LIIVO website to log in. Signing in with Google, Apple, or GitHub is a little simpler. Email also works: you get a verification email, and you paste it back in.
- Pick your team and allow it. If you have multiple teams, choose one. In most cases you just click allow.
You are now connected.
Check that it worked
Build something tiny to confirm. Type:
Wait a moment while it builds. When it is done, it gives you a link, and that is your live site. Click the link, and your app is live on the web.
Good to know
You do not need any other accounts to make this work. The great thing about LIIVO is that you do not have to have other connections to get it working. It stores it all for you.
And if the connection does not respond on the first try, restart your AI, which can fix it. See the guide on getting unstuck for more.
Once you are connected, you build by chatting. Describe your idea and end with “deploy to LIIVO”. Then build your dream app.
